Iron Age Roundhouse

Pupils can view the model both in its complete state and also without its roof. With the roof removed pupils can observe the interior of the roundhouse and the many artefacts that may have been found there. The construction of this model is a faithful reproduction based on evidence of many Iron Age settlements. The roofless roundhouse also shows how the house was built from a wooden frame.

This ARtefact triggers a 3D model of an Iron Age roundhouse. Tapping the roundhouse will remove the roof, allowing you to look inside and see some of the objects that Iron Age people had in their homes.
